There is something wonderfully optimistic about Sun Tea. You gather a few simple ingredients, place them in a jar, set them out in the sunshine, and trust that something good will happen.
New beginnings aren’t all that different.
You’ll need:
- 6–8 tea bags
- 1 gallon of water
- A large glass jar or pitcher with a lid
Good tea choices:
- Regular black tea (Lipton is the classic American sun tea)
- Luzianne (many Southern tea drinkers swear by it)
- Orange Pekoe
- Decaf black tea if preferred
Place the tea bags in the water, set the covered jar in a sunny spot for 2–4 hours, then remove the tea bags and refrigerate.
